Ornithodoros mimon (Acari: Argasidae) parasitando un murciélago del género Myotis (Chiroptera: Vespertilionidae) en Catamarca, Argentina

Abstract

Se examinaron especímenes de garrapatas (Acari: Ixodida) parasitando un murciélago (Chiroptera) de la especie Myotis dinellii (Vespertilionidae) en la provincia de Catamarca, Argentina. Las garrapatas examinadas fueron identificadas como larvas de Ornithodoros mimon (Argasidae). Este hallazgo representa el primer registro del ectoparásito en Catamarca y una nueva asociación parásito-hospedador.
