In this report, the results of the first parasitological examination in rodent middens from Argentina are communicated. The deposit belongs to Lagidium wolffsohni. Fragments of rodent middens obtained from a cave in the Santa Cruz Province, Argentina were processed. The sample was rehydrated in aqueous trisodium phosphate and parasitic remains concentrated by flotation and spontaneous sedimentation. Thirty five transitory slides were observed under a light microscope. Were recognized nematode eggs of Family Capillariidae, Trichuris sp. (Trichuridae), a member of the Family Oxyuridae, Heteroxynema genus, and a Subfamily Anoplocephalinae cestode. Capilarid eggs were similar to those of Calodium hepaticum. Lagidium wolffsohni is a rare endemic rodent, therefore is vital for conservation know the factors that can affect their populations.
