Knowledge about reptilians tick parasites in Argentina is incomplete. In this sense, the objective of this work was to determine tick species that feed on lizards from a locality of Semi-arid Chaco of Argentina. The samplings were carried out in the Fuerte Esperanza Natural Reserve (General Güemes Department, Chaco Province) during october and december of 2010. A total of 46 adult specimens of Teius teyou Daudin, Tropidurus spinulosus Cope and Tropidurus etheridgei Cei was examined. Three nymphs of Amblyomma argentinae Neumann, 1904 were collected from a T. spinulosus specimen, three nymphs of A. argentinae from a T. etheridgei one, and three nymphs and 94 larvae of A. argentinae from 19 T. teyou specimens. These findings of A. argentinae feeding on T. teyou, T. spinulosus and T. etheridgei represent the first records of this parasite-host association for Argentina.
